Нерідко в інтернеті, навіть на вітчизняних сайтах, можна зустріти напис англійською мовою без перекладу «powered by…». Після написи зазвичай слід гіперпосилання з назвою компанії-розробника або студії веб-дизайну. Майже кожен знає, що power перекладається з англійської мови як «міць», і багатьом інтуїтивно зрозуміло, що powered by означає щось в дусі запуск потужностей сайту або надання мощі сайту.
По-російськи це звучить досить кострубато, і я вирішив розібратися, якими вітчизняними словами краще замінити цю фразу.
Для початку давайте подивимося на особливість суб’єкта фрази з powered by. Powered by – словосполучення, яке вказує на суб’єкт, в результаті якого творчого процесу, виник певний інтернет ресурс. Також powered by часто вказує і на суб’єкт, який займається підтримкою сайту. Виходячи з цього, powered by можна перевести, як «створено, запущено, підтримується кимось».
Якщо звернутися до словника, то дієслово «to power» може приймати кілька значень, які більш або менш схожі в даній ситуації.
- «Приводити в дію». А весь напис можна перевести, як «приведено в дію кимось».
- «Підтримувати». В даному випадку переклад буде такий: «запущено при підтримці» або просто «за підтримки».
Якщо спробувати створити містку та точну альтернативу англійської powered by , то, напевно, варіант «за підтримки … » є найбільш кращим. Однак таке словосполучення краще застосовувати для розробників і компаній, чиї імена і назви написані російською мовою. Наприклад:
«Powered by Yandex»,
але
«За підтримки Яндекса».
